From 28 April to 13 July, nine students from EPROMAT – Escola Profissional de Matosinhos in Porto, Portugal, took part in an internship programme in Italy. This initiative enabled them to gain practical experience in the fields of multimedia, computer programming, interior design and tourism.
The students were placed in various companies according to their specialisation. Two students were at EGInA and focused on AR website development, video creation and graphic design. Three girls studying interior design worked at Essential Ark putting their design and space planning skills to good use. Two students in Tourism gained experience at Villa dei Platani by working in reception, improving their customer service skills. One Plasmedia student was responsible for creating messages for social media, while another from Smartweb focused on producing animated content for social media.
Three of the students also had the opportunity to participate in the Social Hackathon Umbria 2024. One of them, Ismael joined a team as part of the Hackathon while Tiago and Peter took part in SHU Young Makers. It was another opportunity for them to connect with people from different countries and improve their skills.
This experience not only helped the students improve their job skills, but also gave them the chance to learn about a new culture. The programme allowed them to meet new people, try new things, and grow both personally and professionally
