Internship in Italy: Latvian students from the Riga School of Art and Media

From 12 June to 13 July, six students from the Riga School of Art and Media in Latvia took part in an internship programme at EGInA in Italy. This initiative enabled them to gain practical experience in various fields, including graphic design, photography, animation, interior design and video production.

During their internships, students work on practical projects related to their specialisation. The graphic design students focused on creating visual content for the promotion of an event, while the photography student refined her skills in capturing and editing images. The Multimedia Art and Animation student created animated content alongside the Interior Design student who worked on space planning and design projects. Last but not least, the Video editing student gained experience in filming and editing videos.

The students were also actively involved in the Umbria Social Hackathon, supporting the communications team. This event gave them additional experience in fast-paced, collaborative environments. They also had the opportunity to take part in workshops, which further enriched their learning experience.

In addition to professional development, the students immersed themselves in Italian culture, exploring local customs, cuisine and historical sites. This cultural immersion enriched their experience.

The results of their mobility were significant. The students returned to Latvia with improved skills and knowledge in their respective fields, ready to apply what they had learned to their future careers.
