In an increasingly dynamic working environment, international experience is priceless for students in vocational education and training (VET). From March 19 to June 15 2023, 10 Spanish students from Instituto de Educación Secundaria Virgen de las Nieves travelled to Foligno, Italy, participating in the project “La internacionalización educativa como base de una orientación profesional exitosa e inclusiva en centros educativos de formación profesional sostenibles” where they took part in vocational programmes in local companies.
During their three-month stay, students gained practical experience at local companies, including Autofficina Vitali, Ip Telecomunicazioni e sicurezza s.n.c and GSA Global Service. They immersed themselves in various industries, such as automotive services, telecommunications and security under the guidance of industry professionals.
As they navigated the Italian work culture and explored Foligno, they made connections with colleagues and locals.
These students returned with valuable lessons and experiences, demonstrating the power of international collaboration in forming qualified and culturally competent individuals ready for the global workforce.
